Appearance Matters - Dental - Medical and Surgical - Guarantees

Our Polish dental colleagues work in cooperation with your UK/Irish dentist in order to resolve any post-treatment issues.

In the unlikely event that you may need to return to Poland for remedial work, we will share the costs of travel and accommodation for the additional trip. Any necessary remedial work in Poland will be provided free of charge by our dentists.

Subject to certain provisos (see below), our dental colleagues' guarantees include:

  • Minimum 5 years for dental implants

  • 5 years for bridges, crowns and inlays

  • 3 years for partial dentures

  • 1 year for full dentures

  • 12 months for all other treatments

These guarantees are valid only if the Polish dentist completes the entire treatment process, for example, fitting a crown, dentures, bridges or implants. Occasionally, teeth may suffer from preparation trauma during such treatments, which may result in the need for subsequent root canal treatment. Appearance Matters' dentists cannot be liable for such unforeseen root canal treatment.

What your guarantee covers:
Guarantees will be reduced or invalidated if:

  • You do not follow your dentist's instructions or neglect dental hygiene.

  • You do not maintain properly any removable restorations such as partial or full dentures.

  • You fail to attend a dental check-up at least once a year.

  • Your gum or bone tissue or dentition is naturally deteriorating.

  • You lose or gain a substantial amount of weight shortly after treatment.

  • You have a general illness such as diabetes, epilepsy, osteoporosis; or if you undergo medical treatment such as chemotherapy, which may jeopardise your dental condition.

  • You accidentally suffer a dental injury.

This is in line with accepted dental practice in the UK/Ireland.

If something goes wrong...
Very occasionally something can go wrong, or you may develop complications on return to the UK/Ireland. Infection may occur despite the best efforts of you and your clinical team.

Should this happen, we strongly encourage you to contact Appearance Matters immediately, so that we may contact your Polish clinician and seek advice on the best remedy. Problems can usually be rectified by your own dentist.

In the event of small adjustments being made, such as re-cementing a crown or adjusting dentures, we encourage you to use your local dentist and we will reimburse up to £25/€38 upon receipt of your bill.

The guarantees given by our clinics on implants and other treatments are in line with, and often exceed, international standards.
